Little Explorers, Big Discoveries
Our Joeys have been immersed in sensory learning experiences, exploring everything from playdough and frozen resources to imaginative dinosaur adventures. More recently, their fascination with bugs has inspired investigations, creative experiences and collaborative learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, problem-solving and fine motor development.
Learning Through Play and Wonder
The Boaties have been busy exploring the world around them through role play, colour discovery and nature investigations. From caring for "patients" in their doctors' corner to experimenting with colour mixing and going on bug hunts with magnifying glasses, children have been developing empathy, creativity and early scientific thinking through hands-on experiences.
Growing Confidence for Big School
In Preschool, children have been strengthening their literacy, numeracy and social skills through engaging learning stations and collaborative play experiences. Alongside discussions about safety and the people who help keep us safe, our Preschoolers have also enjoyed helping to plan special celebrations and contribute ideas to their learning environment, building confidence and independence as they prepare for their next big adventure.
Every day at Hastings Street, children are encouraged to ask questions, investigate their interests and develop the confidence to become capable, creative and curious learners.
