It's the time of the year to feel the power of purple! The Lasiandra Festival is one of our favourite times of the year!
Wauchope's beloved Lasiandra Festival is a joyful annual event and this year, it runs from 1st to 23rd March. It coincides with the spectacular blooming of the lasiandra flowers.
TG's Child Care has been celebrating the Lasiandra Festival year after year, and the children, Educators and families are always delighted to take part in it. It is embedded in the TG's Way and it is how the children build meaningful relationships with their communities. Each festival becomes a natural part of a child's learning journey at TG's. They also build beautiful memories with their friends, Educators and the community!
Did you know that TG's High St won last year's Best Premises Display and was the overall winner, and TG's Hastings St won Best Costumer Staff Group?
From getting creative with purple crafts, to coming to TG's all dressed in purple, the Lasiandra Festival offers many learning opportunities for children. Bringing in nature is in TG's DNA, so we did not pass up the chance to plant some beautiful lasiandra trees at TG's! After all, TG's children are our reliable gardeners. They not only love tending to TG's award-winning gardens, but also know what plants and trees need to grow big and strong. Water, sun, keeping out the weeds and lots of love, kindness and care! While the weather is still beautiful, TG's children love being outdoors and we decided to have a go at making a very special purple volcano!
