When I began my TG’s journey taking up a Cert 3 traineeship in Armidale, my hometown, I would have never imagined it would lead me to living on the beach and supporting our Wauchope centres! I look back at all these years and I am so grateful for the experiences that have unfolded along the way.
Having completed my Cert 3, Diploma and now my Early Childhood Teacher study, whilst spending time across each of the age groups, I have learnt from a variety of different perspectives and get to share my experience and building knowledge.
Having moved to the area to support the opening of our Hastings St centre before moving to our Riverbreeze centre, I have seen firsthand the growth and development of our centres in Wauchope. Our relationships and space within the community have flourished.
People ask why I have stayed for so long at TG's.
When I completed my Bachelor in Design and was thinking about my professional development, I didn't see myself having a career in Early Childhood Education. However, once I began the adventure, I didn’t want to stop!
I love to learn and extend my knowledge through study, which has continued to deepen my passion and understanding for the value and importance of our role as Educators. TG's has been highly supportive of my educational development in Early Childhood Education throughout my time at TG's.
Our role as Educators is to encourage, celebrate and support each child, which helps to support wellbeing, confidence and a strong sense of self for each of them as the children step into the world.
I am lucky to be a small part of each child’s story and I love the magic that each day holds at TG's Child Care.
