This year, TG’s proudly celebrates Nkala Frost, Centre Manager of TG’s Child Care Armidale, who marks an inspiring 10-year journey as part of the TG’s family. Her story reflects what is possible when passion, purpose, and values come together.
From Team Player to Leading with Heart
Nkala began her journey with TG’s in 2014 as a Team Player at the Uralla centre, immersed in the everyday moments that make early learning so meaningful. From the beginning, she supported children through play, curiosity, and connection, while building strong relationships with families and fellow educators.
Over time, her natural leadership qualities became clear. Calm confidence, deep empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility consistently guided her work. These qualities saw Nkala progress into a Team Leader role, where she further developed her leadership skills while continuing to support both children and educators.
Today, as Centre Manager at TG’s Child Care Armidale, Nkala leads alongside her team. She is present, approachable, and deeply connected to the day-to-day life of the centre. Her leadership reflects the values that define The TG’s Way: Love, Trust, Respect, Compassion, and FUN.
Her approach is grounded and human. She listens carefully, supports consistently, and understands that when educators feel valued and confident, children thrive.
A Culture Where Leaders Are Grown, Not Hired
Nkala’s 10-year milestone is not only a personal achievement. It is also a reflection of TG’s long-term commitment to developing leaders from within.

Nkala’s progression from Team Player to Team Leader, and now Centre Manager, shows that TG’s is a place where careers are built with intention, not rushed or forced.
“I’ve grown so much over the years, not just as a leader but as a person. Growing alongside the children, families, and my team, with the trust and support of TG’s, has made this journey incredibly special,” says Nkala.
Leading a Centre and Building a Community
Under Nkala’s leadership, TG’s Armidale has become known as a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. Children feel safe, confident, and curious. Educators feel supported, trusted, and empowered. Families feel genuinely connected and listened to.
Her calm presence, sense of humour, and ability to bring people together have helped create a strong and values-led culture. New educators quickly feel included and supported, while experienced team members continue to grow and develop.
