As we celebrate Directors Day on 10th November 2025, we’re shining a light on the amazing Centre Managers who bring The TG’s Way to life every single day. These incredible leaders are the steady hearts of TG’s Child Care, guiding their teams with love, trust, respect, compassion, and fun, while nurturing environments where children, families, and educators thrive together.
In this blog, we celebrate Nkala (Nik) Frost, Centre Manager at TG’s Armidale, whose warmth, positivity, and calm strength embody what it truly means to lead The TG’s Way.
“What inspires me most is seeing the joy and curiosity in children every day and knowing that I play a part in shaping their early learning journey. I love watching our team work together to create a nurturing, playful environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to explore. The TG’s philosophy of ‘Playing is Learning for Life’ inspires me to lead with love, trust, respect, compassion, and fun.”
At TG’s Armidale, Nik’s leadership is grounded in connection — building genuine relationships with children, families, and her team. She believes that leading by example is the best way to inspire others.
“I live TG’s values by modelling them in everything I do. I show Love by building genuine connections with children, families, and my team. Trust and Respect guide how I communicate with all stakeholders, listening openly and valuing everyone’s voice. Compassion helps me support children and educators through challenges with understanding and care. And of course, I bring plenty of FUN to our days, through laughter, play, and celebrating every little success together!”
Under Nik’s leadership, TG’s Armidale thrives as a joyful, supportive, and inclusive community — one where educators lift each other up and every child is encouraged to explore their world with confidence and curiosity.
“I’m most proud of the strong, positive culture we’ve built at our centre. Our team supports one another, celebrates achievements, and shares a deep passion for early learning. Seeing children flourish in an environment filled with love, trust, and joy makes me incredibly proud every single day.”
When asked what others might say if they wondered “What would Nik do?” — her answer reflects her calm, thoughtful, and team-first approach.
“I’d want them to remember: ‘It is what it is, let’s work together as a team to overcome this together.’ I truly believe that teamwork and a positive attitude can turn any challenge into a learning opportunity. You can’t change what has already happened, but you can choose how you respond and move forward. By supporting one another, staying calm, and keeping a sense of fun and optimism, we can overcome anything together. Nothing is life or death. We don’t need to make a split-second decision straight away. It’s important to take a step back, think carefully, and consider everyone involved so we can make the best decision for the entire team.”

That grounded wisdom is at the heart of who Nik is, a leader who listens deeply, leads with care, and brings balance to every situation. For Nik, being a steward of children’s futures is both an honour and a responsibility she holds close to her heart.
“Being a steward of children’s futures means recognising the privilege and responsibility of shaping their early experiences. It’s about creating a foundation of confidence, curiosity, and kindness that will stay with them throughout life. Every interaction, every smile, and every moment of play contributes to who they become — and that’s a role I cherish deeply.”

Through her leadership, Nik inspires her team and the TG’s Armidale community to approach every day with joy, compassion, and teamwork. She embodies what it means to Play it Forward, nurturing not only children’s futures but the growth and wellbeing of everyone around her.
Happy Directors Day to Nik and all our incredible TG’s Centre Managers who lead with love, purpose, and FUN!
