The Best Job in the World Right Here at TG's

Jessie Croxson Boyd wakes up every day eager to get to work at TG's Urangan!

Flight of Fancy

If Jessie could be a superhero, she wants to have the superpower to fly anywhere she wants, to be free as a bird and travel all over!

Meet Jessie Croxson Boyd, a new member of TG's Family at TG's Urangan.

Jessie's mother is from New Zealand while her father is Australian. She spent a good part of her childhood travelling to New Zealand and she recalls the excitement of the trips visiting family. This was the start of her passion for travelling and exploring.

She loves being in nature the most, and she has been exploring Australia with her partner. Hiking, swimming in waterfalls, exploring the outback - you name it, Jessie has done it, or is planning to do it!

"Happiness is cherishing every moment, big or small. I am happiest when exploring our beautiful country. Going hiking to waterfalls, camping on the beach with the vast ocean in front of us, sleeping next to a fire under the stars, and experiencing the beauty of Australian wildlife."

Caring for the Planet

TG's business model is one of sustainability and it is very much a part of TG's values and it runs through everything we do at TG's. The children build eco-intelligence as they learn to care for TG's beautiful gardens. Preventing wastage and recycling are habits that come naturally to everyone at TG's.

Jessie has certainly found a new home in TG's that shares her values. Even as a child, Jessie was already strong in eco-intelligence. She was always looking for ways to be sustainable and re-use things. She collected newspapers, egg cartons, pinecones, old flowers and bits of clothing material. And those were her inspiration for creativity and endless hours of FUN! She created beautiful artworks, her own special 'perfumes', fairy houses, marble runs etc.

Part of a Child's Learning Journey

Jessie is new to childcare, so this is her first year but she already has her career plans all mapped out and she is clear about what she wants to do.

She is currently studying for her Certificate III and will be doing her Diploma next year. Eventually she hopes to study for a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood.

Her passion for early childhood education started from the time she herself was a child. She remembered how much fun she had in kindergarten with her teachers and friends. It left such an impression on her that she wanted to replicate this feeling as an adult. She wants to have that effect on the children under her wing at TG's - to be able to give them this beautiful learning experience that is filled with joy and loving kindness. The gifts that Jessie received from her teachers and classmates are what she wants to share with TG´s children now.

The beautiful thing about Jessie's career choice is she never wakes up not wanting to go to work. She was delighted to go to school when she was in kindergarten as a child, and now as an educator she is still just as eager to get dressed, get her breakfast and ready to have a wonderful time at school!

A Rewarding Career

Not everyone is lucky to know exactly what they want to do with their lives or which profession to go into. Jessie finds it rewarding working with children and she is proud of the fact that she was able to have that clarity early on in life.

Jessie knows what she wants and she is already on her way to experiencing it. She knows she has the best job in the world at TG's where she is excited every day about learning and exploring with the children.

She is looking forward to watching the children grow and reach their fullest potential. It is an amazing journey to see how a child grows and changes. One may start hesitantly with a few words at the start of their learning journey. And suddenly one day they are excitedly talking about a fun science experiment they did or something delicious they made. That is what drives Jessie in her work, seeing how much a child can develop in their own beautiful time.

"Stop waiting for the weekend, the holidays, or that special trip somewhere to be happy because every day is a blessing especially when you are doing your best to make dreams happen."

We are so glad to have Jessie on our children's learning journeys, and we are just as excited to watch her own journey as an educator at TG's!
