Emma Harris - Centre Director Armidale
Several years ago, I would never have imagined myself here at TG´s stepping into the role of Centre Director. I had a career in real estate then and I felt I needed a change to challenge myself. Life somehow has its way of guiding you and a wonderful opportunity came up right at TG´s where my eldest daughter Layla was having fun learning through playing!
So, thanks to my daughter, I have been part of TG´s even before I became a member of their educational staff. I guess you could say I have morphed through the different roles at TG´s which has made my journey beautifully natural and complete. I started off as a parent at TG´s and then I became an educator where I progressed from team player to team leader.
My most challenging and rewarding role to date is that of Centre Director at TG´s Armidale. I completed my diploma in Early Children Care and Education in 2016 and I am incredibly grateful for every single step that has led me up to this point in my career.
I love being at TG´s (even from the time when I had the ´status´ of a parent!). I am very much a people person and am always up for a laugh. I am very down-to-earth and I have made many meaningful relationships with the children, families and educators at TG´s Armidale. TG´s is a company that nurtures a person´s gifts. I have experienced all these years what it is like to make a difference in the early years through quality care and education for children.
TG´s is an industry leader in the New England region and I have absolute faith in its philosophy. I know I will continue to learn and grow because at TG´s, ´playing is learning for life´, which is just as applicable for educators as it is for the children!
I love being in Armidale. I was born and raised here and now I have my own family here as well. They are my most precious and proudest accomplishment. Armidale is rich in offerings and I enjoy spending time with my children and my husband camping, boating and just exploring the New England region!
